Today, I just could not get through to Nathan, a 4th-grade misfit who doesn't get along with his siblings.  He spun me this big long story about how he and his sister both needed to charge their tablets and all the outlets were being used, so somehow she took his charger and ended up accidentally breaking his tablet while unplugging it and blah, blah, blah...

It led me to this epiphany (also sparked by a comment by Audra Hibbs last week):

NEW FAMILY STANDARD
We don't charge our phone/tablet/phablet/device/DS during the day.
You get your battery from its overnight charge and that's that.  

This is Dad speaking.  With regard to your mobile device.  Use your battery wisely.
